In this “War between the States” men fought for nothing less than whether to preserve or end the United States of America. The idea that men would be fighting to preserve the United States is backed by glory, pride and an undying spirit to see our values restored.

I don’t know that anyone likes to see history fade into just that; history.

This concept of ‘preservation’ is timeless. The Friends of the Grand Army of the Republic Hall & Museum of Lynn, MA are determined to do some restoring and preservation of our own. We have taken on the vital task of saving this memorial for future generations. As the only functioning G.A.R. Post/Civil War museum left in the country, we expect our battle cry to start at home and reach nationwide.

Your support matters, as much now as it did in the 1860s. It’s time to band together and fight for this initiative; for our city, our country and most importantly our Servicemen and Women who started this fight. Please consider making your own contribution to history and donating to our efforts today.
