“Defending Democracy” addresses pressing issues including book banning, voting suppression, economic inequality, and marginalization of Black history. Speakers include Massachusetts Education Secretary Patrick Tutwiler, former Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling, and historian Dr. Kabria Baumgartner. A panel with local social justice advocates will focus on solutions for Lynn and beyond.
